GENERAL

This is a specially designed equipment, suitable for oil/gas installations, chemical plants, power plants or any other area where inflammable liquids are used, produced or stored. It offers convenient approach, a high-raised operating platform, longer.

DESIGN

The double-decker structure carries foam liquid tank on the lower deck and a working platform on the upper deck which is also provided with monitor gun and self-induction foam making branch pipe.

The foam branch is connected to the foam tank through a flexible pick-up tube. An open-close valve provided which allows the foam to be picked up, when in "Open" position. The structure is mounted on a 4-swheel trailer Inlet connections are provided to feed water from outside.

OPERATION

In case of fire, pressurised water is supplied to this unit from nearby hydrant system, a waster reservoir or a fire truck. Pressurised water is carried to the foam branch pipe, via monitor gun. If foam is to be applied, the foam pick-up valve is opened.

2 nos, each with 2.5" male instantaneous connections and spring loaded non-return valves.

LOWER DECK

Houses the foam tank, placed in metallic cage, secured from all sides.

UPPER DECK

Serves as working platform, for operating the monitor gun. Floor of non-slip chequer steel sheet. Fenced at all sides for security of operator.

STAIRS

Connects the lower and upper deck; railing is made of 1- ¼" m.s. pipe while steps are made of non-slip chequer steel sheet.

TRAILER

2-axle, 4 wheeled: 2 solid wheels of 13" dia and 2 pneumatic tyres of Suzuki size. Frame is mae of 4"x2"x2" m.s.channels re-enforced with angle iron and pipes of suitable sizes. Front axle is supported on swivel for easy swinging a narrow turnings.

Stay jacks: 4 Nos-(are folded when not in use).

PERFORMANCE

Throw at 8 bar: foam 40 m, Water 45m.

Time duration: 37 minutes (with 3% foam).

[NOTE: with 450 lpm foam branch pipe, the time duraction will be 75 minutes and the foam throw will be 30-35 m)

Max working pressure: 10 Bar.

PAINTING AND FINISHING

The Mobile Foam Unit is painted in red, chassis frame in black, foam tank in yellow.
