AFFF-1000 Fire extinguisher

General

This is a trailer-mounted, large capacity fire extinguisher, having 1000 litres of premixed solution of AFFF 3%, ideally suited for refineries, oil/gas installations, chemical warehouses and other places where highly inflammable substances are stored, processed and/or handled. It provides a reliable and highly effective support to the fire fighters.

Construction

Main barrel is made of 6 mm mild steel sheet, electrically welded, test to 350 lbs psi (25 bar); provided with manhole, filling and drain connections, pressure gauges and pressure release valve.

Expelling agent

2 Nitrogen cylinders are provided, fitted with pressure regulators, which serve as the expelling agent.

Trailer

2-axle, 4-wheeler, having solid rubber tyres - 2 of 16" and 2 and 14"; provided with swivel assembly for front axle which ensures easy turning.

Operation

The opening of Nitrogen cylinders pressurise the main cylinder. The AFFF solution is discharged through the two hose reels, provided on the trailer.

Hose Reels

2 hose reels are provided, each with 1" x 100 ft high pressure hose, fitted with individual on-off control and jet/spray nozzle.
